I Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

Introduction: Satan a.k.a. the Devil is always attacking Christians. He doesn’t bother the people he already has fooled. When Jesus was tempted by Satan; he rebuked Satan by the Word of God. We need to hide the Word in our hearts as protection from Satan’s attacks. The main thing Satan uses against us is our mind, sin starts with a thought. Guard your thoughts.
Put Downs –“You are not good enough to be a Christian.
Health Problems- “I’m a good person, why these health issues?”
Self-Reformation- “I can change myself without any help.”
Vices- “I keep doing the same sin over and over.”
Self-Judgment- “I am ugly and dumb, no one loves me.”
Actions- “You sure don’t act like a Christian.”
Emotions- “Why am I not happy today?”
Feelings- “I don’t feel like going to Church.”
Affections- “You are doing this for self, not God.”
Don’t Believe the Lies of Satan:
You are of great value to God.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God supplied protection.
Ephesians 6:11-18 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
