Walk by Faith

Text: II Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Introduction: Faith and belief walk hand in hand if we are to have power with God. Matthew 13:58 states: And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.  The Bible states: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. If we are to grow in faith we must study Gods Word. The Bible tells of things that have happened in the past that we know have been proven, therefore we can have faith in the things the word says that will happen in the future.

Because of past experiences we gain trust in Christ and the Holy Spirit, this also increases our faith.

Some worship by feelings and not faith; feelings will deceive you, emotions will take you on a spiritual roller coaster ride.

Our walk is by trust in Gods Word and not by the way we feel.

Mankind has not changed since the start of time. The Jews sought signs and the Greeks sought wisdom. Even Thomas after all that he had witnessed Jesus do, still doubted.

Conclusion: We walk by faith, not by sight or feelings. Trust in Christ and believe through faith. We are saved by grace through faith, it is the gift of God so that we can not boast on works or anything that we have done to obtain our salvation.
